The words “Right To Work” make it appear that an employee is going to get the rights and protections that are afforded to people in t his country. This is what they expect and deserve. However, the reality is that these words are attached to legislation that was put together by a group of greedy corporate leaders out-of-touch, careless, politicians that have been bought off by corporations and some super rich political hacks whose ultimate goal is to take most of the rights away from American workers.
The rights that we currently have would be gone if this “Right To Work” Bill is voted in. Basically, this is a move to get around Senate Bill 5.
People need to really understand what this bill means before signing any petition that would place this bill on the ballot or potentially vote this bill in if it makes it to our voting booths.
Workers’ rights have taken a real beating over the last 30 years in this country. The last thing that working people need is Wall Street-minded laws that take over our ability to stand together for ourselves and our co-workers.
It is my opinion that too many of our corporate leaders and politicians believe that overwhelming profit gains trump all moral and legal obligations whenever possible. This bill has no moral value in it whatsoever. The facts show no job growth in Ohio of any significance can or will come out of voting in a “Right To Work” law.
